WorkMobile kicks off its three-year growth plan with a series of new appointments

Manchester-based WorkMobile, a cloud-based data capture specialist, has appointed three key hires, including two new business development managers, to help boost its expansion plans.

With over four years’ experience in IT and sales, John Schubert was previously an account director at IT solutions company, Zones UK, before joining WorkMobile as a business development manager. At Zones UK, he increased the revenue of one of its largest engineering clients from £20,000 to £150,000 in a four-month period. More recently, Schubert was a reseller business manager at CyberPower PC, a specialist vendor of gaming laptops and desktops. During his time at CyberPower, he was integral to the company’s revenue increasing by 10.5% (2017/18) and its customer base growing by 75% in his first month.

WorkMobile’s second appointment sees Hassam Adris also join as a business development manager. An accounting and business finance graduate from the University of Salford, Adris also achieved an MSc in international banking and finance, before entering the energy supply industry. He worked his way up to head of procurement and bureau at Inteb Managed Services, before then moving on to become a business development manager at one of the UK’s leading energy consultancies, Effective Utilities.

Both John Schubert and Hassam Adris will play a key role in helping WorkMobile to expand its services and drive the business forward. They will also be responsible for building sustainable, lasting relationships with clients, as well as identifying and developing new sales opportunities within new and existing sectors to improve brand recognition and increase market reach.

In addition to expanding its business development team, WorkMobile has committed itself to nurturing and harnessing new talent by inviting a bright young star to join its apprenticeship scheme. Molly Smith has joined as a commercial apprentice and will be supporting the sales team to generate more quality leads and improve the marketing strategy.

The new appointments come during a strong period of growth for the company. Having recently developed a three-year business plan with the approval and support of its long-term South African investors, WorkMobile is primed to achieve its target of growing recurring revenues by 30% by the end of the year.

Colin Yates, chief support officer of WorkMobile, said: “This is an incredibly exciting time in WorkMobile’s history and a real tipping point in our expansion. Both John and Hassam have a proven track record of taking businesses to the next level, so I’m thrilled to welcome them to our commercial team to help us implement our ambitious, but achievable, growth plan.

“Over the next three years, we’re aiming to continue our strong development, particularly by expanding our team based here in Manchester by 25%. This year certainly looks set to bring some exciting opportunities for WorkMobile and we’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for us.”
